I love the chromatic greys and value contrasts of my first pictures. Some ideas for drawings and paintings are already emerging in my head and on paper. I shall let you know how they progress.<br /><br />Last week I finished a little painting of birds and bird houses. I am an artist living and working in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.<br /><br />On New Year's Day 2008, I wrote down some things that I want in the coming year. One desire is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">to learn more about computers</span>. Another is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">to have my artwork reach a wider audience</span>.<br /><br />Later that day I had a nice conversation with my son. He talked about blogs and the idea that I could have one. With his help, I now have one! What exactly is a blog? I am a very hands-on person. New technology, because I don't understand it, is somewhat scary. So here I go on a 21st century adventure.<br /><br />Another <span style="text-decoration: underline;">big want</span> that I have is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">to draw and paint every day</span>. My sketchbook has become my new companion. There, I have declared what I want to the world.
